FACT: The simplest things in life are the best. Like a good cup of tea. Winter is definitely in the works in Australia, so we may as well talk about a good kettle. Even though I'm a Summer girl at heart, I do like any excuse for a cuppa – so I'm willing to embrace you on that basis, Winter-Gods. I'm also pretty excited also that my brother and sister-in-law are in Japan buying me amazing green tea as I write this. Here's CHEERS to cosy days (and nights) on the couch and heart-warming warm cups of tea sharing the happiest of little life moments over a good brew!
MAUVIEL is a breathtakingly wonderful French brand. I am unequivocally in LOVE with this kettle and actually can't stop thinking about it. The sleek lines, simplicity and colour... Love also how dainty it is – truly the most sophisticated of boilers. It's so rare in a kettle – which are often so bulky and utilitarian.
LE CREUSET is one of those brands that will just never go out of style, from generation to generation. I love their rich red colour (have many a piece of theirs in my kitchen), and the strength of this kettle is no exception.

HOLMBÄCK NORDENTOFT makes form and function beautiful. Love the wooden detail of the handle, to make the pleasingly slender body feel balanced and friendly.
ALESSI kettles can be found in many a kitchen globally, and isn't their 30th Anniversary Edition of Michael Graves Tea Kettle divine? Instead of the trademark bird sitting on the end of the spout to "sing" once the water is boiled, you'll find a dragon. Brilliant. Why shouldn't making a cuppa be fun?
